Ingredients include: artichoke hearts, green olives with pimento, black olives, calamata olives, roasted red peppers, olive oil, garlic.  Los Olivos Cafe Muffaletta Spread is a delicious, gourmet chopped-olive spread.

Historically, the mufaletta olive spread was first made famous by Signor Lupo Salvadore, an Italian immigrant from Sicily, in 1906 in a now-famous little Italian market called Central Grocery on Decatur Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Traditionally, the mufaletta olive spread is used to make Italian (Mediterranean) cuisine sandwiches.

Any type of Italian bread or French rolls can be used, but a true 'mufaletta sandwich' is traditionally made with a 'muffaletta' Italian loaf that is round,usually sesame-seeded and about 10 inches in diameter. Spread this Italian cuisine tradition by sending this gourmet food item as a gift any time of the year.
